In 1985, Australian New Wave auteur Peter Weir (The Cars That Ate Paris, Gallipoli)  came to America to make his first Hollywood film. For this effort, he chose Witness, a crime drama/romance piece about a young Amish boy (Lukas Haas) who sees a murder and the policeman (Harrison Ford) who must enter an Amish community to protect the boy and his mother (Kelly McGillis). Nominated for multiple Academy Awards, including the only acting nomination to date for Harrison Ford, does Witness deserve the special attention or should it be buried in the corn? MovieDude Eric, Kent and Jonolobster head to Amish paradise to find out.
