It was great. I had the feeling of being a kid again seeing Star Wars for the first time. Mind you I was originally introduce to the original trilogy via VHS as my dad rented them a lot but damn. I was on the edge of my seat. I did see the special edition original trilogy and the prequel trilogy in theaters.
I almost cried at Han's death. I knew it was coming not from spoilers I just felt it.
I want a BB-8 and now well and an R2 like I've always wanted. But my god BB was wicked.
Fin totally used that lightsaber against Kylo Ren like a bad ass. That was until Luke's daughter got it.

Re: sooooooo.........
The thing with Han's death....it was SO PAINFULLY predictable right there...no way was his son turning back right there and it felt a bit drawn out....I thought a better dick move (and maybe more effective heel move so to speak) would have been to force pull Chewie off the ledge and have Han watch his best friend die and be able to do nothing about it but live with it....but I get why Han is more expendable (since you can put anyone in the Chewie suit and the original members are showing their age, except Trickster...he looked awesome!)
I didn't like BB-8, the double bowling ball design seemed soooo impractical but that's just me
and yes she just HAS to be Luke's daughter.....now do we get a fan boy moment and his mother was Mara Jade??? eeeepppp
Fin has force sensitivity..... Ren felt it (he also felt Han Solo's presence.... makes me think Han had some too, but just attributed it to "luck" and "talking his way out of stuff"
I did love Han getting gun envy about the Bowcaster too

Well I'm glad it wasn't a mess up of a movie. It had the right feel.
I like the whole gun envy thing.
There are more questions now than before the movie came out.

Re: sooooooo.........
I'm amazed in 40 years of knowing that walking furball he had NEVER shot that gun before
A critic called this movie a "victory lap" for Han Solo....i can agree fully with that
This was definitely the beginning of the torch being passed to Star Wars: the Next Generation.....

I agree about the torch passing. We shall see what comes next.
Why do we have to wait so long for another one?

Re: sooooooo.........
Because filming without all CGI and green-screen takes time, the result is WELL worth it though! It's only a year and a half, you didn't have to endure 2+ years of OMG is he Luke's father :p
