I haven't had a chance to watch yet but so far I've generally heard favorable reviews. What's everyone's thoughts?

It was a great pilot. Well written, great effects, a good plot. If they can maintain across the season the show will be great.
I had hoped for a specific character reveal from the commercials and was slightly disappointed but the choices they made make sense for bringing the movie fans into the show.
All and all I'd give it an 8/10. Clark Gregg of course was spectacular, and damn funny.

I finally watched it -- I was underwhelmed. I'm not giving up though as pilots tend not to be the best, but it felt just 'off' to me

It suffered from the fact it had to do a little world/plot building. Long run we should be okay. After all, its Whedon.

I haven't watched week 2 yet, but the people at work who couldn't understand why I wasn't gung-ho on it right away tell me week 2 was a bit disappointing.

I watched the second one and I did like it a lot better. Something still doesn't jive with me in certain scenes and it comes off campy (ie. the forest gunfight with Coleson and that gal).

I also thought the whole team-is-arguing and then common enemy bringing the team together (like Avengers) was played.

The guy that plays Wade is either a horible actor or a badly written character.

I agree 100%. That's part of the campyness I feel too. It's got potential but something still feels "off" to me.

Well, that's kinda awesome. First the Lucy Lawless announcement, and now…

Ok, that the late 80's Mockingbird from the West Coast Avengers, but that's my Mockingbird, none of this updated consume nonsense. Get off my lawn.
Formerly Amberite, but probably not Nellie or Nelson. I'd probably answer to either tho.
